Last weekend I flew to San Jose, CA to join my family in celebrating my sister, Amber's, graduation. She graduated with a Bachelors in Kinesiology. She has accomplished a great feat and now she has a plethora of choices and opportunities ahead of her.
The ceremony at the school on Saturday morning was fun. Their department was quite the lively bunch, very entertaining. We had a great BBQ back at Amber's house afterwards. Sarah made some wonderful mojitos, the weather was beautiful, and the visiting and time together was great, as it always is.
While we had the family together, we had a little baby shower to celebrate my brother's little one, due to arrive June 17th; a little girl. Guessing at the name was great fun. They wouldn't give it up though. Some things are best kept a surprise. Can't wait! And Jen's little belly is so cute. I know SHE doesn't feel very little , but she is all baby and glowing as well...The past several months, I've been crocheting away at this blanket for this little one, after many late nights the past few weeks, it got done in time for the shower. Whew!
A few of us enjoyed the hot tub that night back at the hotel, visited some more, had a fantastic pillow fight (I think Dad lost...maybe) and then wrapped up the evening.
I was the first to leave the weekend of fun. I left early Sunday morning. It was hard to leave, but nice to get back to my family at home.
Here are some pictures
