What Matters MOST...

Well, after much deliberation and going back and forth and justifying and defending, we have come to the conclusion that I absolutely adore my job at the county. It was a position that was practically written with me in mind. I love the people I work with. It is a challenging job, working with great people and I just love everything about it...

As perfect a fit as it is, I adore my kids and my husband even more. When all is said and done and I look back, what I do at a job in a career is not as lasting as what I can accomplish at home with my husband and kids. I always remember Mike's grandmother telling me that as soon as something starts affecting your kids or your husband, that it's time to refocus. They are what matter most. I really agree with her...We can't get these years back

With all that said...I have given notice to my employer. So soon I will be back home where my heart is. There will be sacrifice to make, but it will be worth it.

Our BABY is going to Kindergarten!!

Can you believe that we already are getting the Kindergarten registration info for Matthew. Next week is the week that registration for the 2008-2009 school year begins. It is amazing how fast time ticks around that clock...Maybe it's time for another baby, now that our baby is getting all grown up....HAHAHA....Nah, that was a quick thought that just left....

Hawaii

Well, we are back from Maui, Hawaii with tons of awesome memories and good stories. It was a blast and the best part was being with everyone (minus Corey :(...) and being able to spend some good time without having ot rush off here and there...We have TONS of photos. We'll post the links to them later...

2008 Changes Already Here!

.........well for myself at least.   I started out 2008 with a nice short haircut from my wife.   It started out being shortm then it went shorter.  I am loving it.  I have had bushy long hair for a while and getting tired of having the phat hair.

I also started off this year by ditching the glasses.  I am now wearing contacts; the contacts before would drive me nuts, getting them in and out is crazy.  But I tried out these new types that are for sensitive eyes called...ACUVUE® OASYS™ with HYDRACLEAR™ Plus.  It is amazing how clear I can see.  My world has just jumped off the map.  I can see so much better.  It will be interesting to see how this works out for my recruitment efforts with the fire department and also my abilitiy to play sports better.

To even make things better besides having a groovy haircut and seeing better is that I did a 2 day fast.  Man do I feel better also.  I used my favorite fitness place Beachbody.com 2 Day Fast Formula.  I have to admit that I was a little scared of not eating for two days, but the shakes were great, the energy I had afterwards was amazing, people said I looked different, looked good and clean.  The detoxification worked well.   And again I was not really hungry during the 2 day fast, just drank the shake, and had water; and lost some weight even in the process and the cool thing is that it is staying off.  This is a great way to start off the new year for sure.

This year already I have two fire department recruitments coming up.  Phoenix Fire and Gilbert Fire.  I feel great and ready to get a job with one of these departments.  I wanted to share my experiences with you because so far with these minor items 2008 is starting out great!

New year, New home!

Well, we did it. We managed to move in to our new home in a matter of days. It was truly an amazing miracle how much help we got and how quick everything moved. Now we have the fun of unpacking and getting settled. We'll post pictures when everything gets organized.
